Famous tourists attractions in Bruges
April 27, 2010My friend told me that Bruges is a wonderful city of Belgium which is full of beautiful buildings, lovely churches, squares and museums and here i also found that Bruges Lace is also very famous because the lace is still hand made over here. Here i saw many little shops that sell the most beautiful lace pieces from little postcard size pieces to huge tableclothes.
To enjoy vacations i started my trip from its famous tourists attractions, first of all i went to visit the Diamond Museum which is one of the most famous museum in Bruges and it illustrates the extraordinary history of Bruges as Europe’s oldest diamond center. In this museum i obtain information on the mysterious world of the diamond and i also saw different and very beautiful diamonds. Then i visited the Beguine’s House which provides a good picture of the day to day life of the former inhabitants and in the end of the day i enjoyed in the Bruggemuseum Belfry, from top of this i discovered the treasury, the impressive clock mechanism, the 47 bell carillon and finally a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. After that i went to my hôtels à Bruges, for taking rest and dinner.

Next day, after eating delicious breakfast in my Brügge Hotels, i went to visit the most interesting sights in Bruges. I went to Museum of Folklore which is also one of the most visited museums in Bruges, it is a 17th century almhouses which house a collection of historic objects, a cobbler’s workshop, a hatter’s workshop, and an Flemish living room.
After that i went to visit the Gruuthuse house and museum, which is a museum that once belong to one of the richest family in Bruges the Gruuthuse family. In this museum i also saw the treasures from as far back as thirteenth century and three piece oil painting on the alter. Bruges Saint John’s Hospital is also a must see attraction in Bruges and i also visited it. In 1188 this hospital was built in 1188 as a hospital for pilgrims and passersby in need of medical and religious attention before their deaths and nowdays this is a famous sight in Bruges and it houses works of some of the best Flemish artists. After visiting Bruges attractions, my friend also interested visiting london attractions and sights in knokke.
